So after the RAKs of the last week, I decided to put together a few project bags to fill with stuff and send out. These just need the drawstring and they’re done!
It took a lot less time than I thought. I was able to get 6 out of two yards of fabric. Well, I would have gotten 8 if the batik fabric hadn’t been cut crooked. So I may get one big one from the left over. The outside is a yellow/green batik I had left over from my quilting days, and the inside is a cotton I hand-dyed a few years ago for an ill-fated fabric sculpture. I think four of these will go out to lucky tweasels, one will stay with me (the one with the pen marks-grrrrr- children!) and one will go to someone special, who can probably figure out who they are. 😉
I think I’ll go get some more fabric next week and start on some more. I have two aloha prints I think would be really nice, and two whole bins of fabric I don’t know what to do with. I just need to get lining fabric and stuff for the drawstrings. And then I’ll see if I can sell them on Etsy. It’s like free money, and I have plenty of time!

So it seems I am swimming in pretty yarns this week…
A while back I found a German lady who dyes BEYOOOOTIFUL sock yarn. So I posted it in LSG and we ended up with a co-op order of probably 100 skeins of yarn and lose to 1000 Euros. The lovely Maggie, aka LittleGreyCat, put it all together and shipped them out a couple days ago. Best of all, my bestest friend added three more skeins for me!! And here’s what arrived.
Top, from left to right is Green Elves, Dragon Fire, Bogey and Minotaur
Bottom, left to right, Pegasus, Army of Orcs and Magic Rose.
Along witht hat box was another one, which was a total mystery to me. It was from Eat.Sleep.Knit. I KNEW I hadn’t ordered anything from them, so I opened it up and it was FULL of Malabrigo!!
That is One skein of worsted in Purple Mystery (top), two skeins of chunky on Verde, two skeins of fingering silky merino in Black and a skein of sock in African Violet!! It was from a fellow LSGer who decided I won the yarn lottery and sent it as an RAK. This is after I got this package yesterday…
It had TWO MORE skeins of Malabrigo, an awesome checklist, so I know if I have scurvy, a mix CD, and two little Moleskine notebooks, so I always have something to write on. Jeeebus!
My husband said no more yarn for a while. Yeah, I’m down with that. While I’m at it, I may destash some of my other stuff into some awesome RAK packages. I’m working on little project bags, so I’ll be sending those out before too long with some Hawaiian goodies and some pretty yarns. 🙂 I feel so loved!

So I uploaded Not A Sandy Bottom to Ravelry and it’s been a hit! My LSG bitches were a good portion of the downloads, but since I got hooked up as a designer and got the project page up to snuff, it’s been mostly non-LSGers. YAY! In the last two days it’s been que-ed up 46 times and favorited almost as many. YAY!
I’m working on other designs, mainly for the class I’m going to pitch to the Arts and Crafts center. But they’ll still designs, and mine!
